demo 18 Dec 2008 09:23pm This person is trying to determine if you are using proxy recognition scripts. The particular file you are refering to (azenv.php) is part of AZ Environment Variables which tells the web site administrator if someone connecting their website is using a proxy (or go-between computer to access the internet). Proxies are a good way to hide your true IP address and therefore makes it easier to post unwanted advertising or hack with greater anonymity. I have never personally used AZ Environment Variables scripts. I do not know exactly how they work. It could be that this person is trying to determine your ability to detect their real IP address, or may be looking for information about your website that might give them hints on where you have vulnerabilities. With no more information than what you have given I can't make any guesses about their intentions. |
