How do I find a venture capitalist to fund a web development project?
|
demo 22 Dec 2008 03:43pm I am a professional web developer and have an incredible idea for a (ajax) web game that fills a huge niche in the market. It is a project I can complete by myself, but would like to work on it with other people. The problem comes in to that I need to pay another or two developers to work on this with me, aswell as pay myself for the time as I cannot take time off of work without compensation. How do I go about finding a venture capitalist who would be willing to spend money on a project, and how long would I have to pay it back normally? How much is to much money to ask for. I can get away with taking out 50k and keeping things afloat, but what percentages would they ask for. Also, the way it looks now 100% of the money will be generated using advertising, how can I even guess how much money this will generate and if I will ever be able to pay it off using that as my sole income. Will they understand this fact, and that I may not be able to pay it off in a reasonable amount of time due to this? What should I do. |
