demo 23 Dec 2008 02:46pm Even if you cancel the right click option, which i don't think you can unless your the web site administrator and put the code in yourself for that picture, users can easily still download the file, you just need to know how... |

demo 23 Dec 2008 03:07pm Well, you have a few options, the simple one is this code from Dynamic Drive, http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright2.htm . The issue with this is when someone finds your photo on Google Images they can still download it, you must also put this script at the end of EVERY page. In addition Netscape will allow people to right click a photo if it is linked. (ARG! WHY CANT EVERYONE JUST USE FIREFOX!) A more difficult alternative is to change your websites htaccess file, or add a php script. If you know how to do this it should be really easy. If not, its defiantly doable for a beginner. You just have to find a php script or an htaccess command. I recommend changing your htaccess file as it is more stable. Search for some codes to do this on Google. I must say, its still easy to take a photo, all you have to do is take a screen shot of a web page and crop it in photo shop, even watermarked images are somewhat easy to steel. I'm a digital artist and I've had stuff stolen, hell Ive had people tried to sell my work they stole from me. Pretty sad when an adult steels from a teenager to make a quick buck. But, what can you say, some people are just talentless. |

demo 23 Dec 2008 03:08pm Saving your pictures from what exactly... Your own personal website? Facebook? Flickr? Either way... There's really very little you can do to prevent people from saving images from the internet. You can always watermark your images in an effort to establish ownership, but there's always ways of saving them nonetheless. |
